Welcome to inaugural Atlantic Canada BBQ Championship!!!


The first Kansas City BBQ Society Sanctioned event in Atlantic Canada. This event will host top BBQ teams facing off against each other in 4 main categories: Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork Shoulder and Beef Brisket. Optional categories will include our regional seafood options such as Lobster and Scallops.

Is this a Rib Fest?

This is different then the rib fest which has previously been hosted in surrounding areas. Rib fest's are frequented by professional restaurants that move from city to city for commercial purposes. Our event will be judged by certified judges to determine the grand champion. It will be the same format as seen on the TLC show BBQ Pitmasters. Winners of our event will earn points towards invitational events such as the Famous Jack Daniel’s World Championship and the American Royal.

Will I be able to try the competitors food?

You will not be able to buy directly from the competitors. However we are working with local authorities to allow for the sale of product that have been prepared by the pitmasters but sold by us. The goal is to have a people’s champion crowned as voted by the public. Please note that there will be other vendors on site selling different types of foods. We want this event to be as multicultural as possible.
